Question of the Week- What is your favorite NJ getaway?

I asked five Madison residents to tell me about their favorite New Jersey weekend getaway or day trip.  Here's what they have to say:

Kerry Weber

"On the weekends I love to hike through various parts of Jockey Hollow and the Great Swamp. They are so close and yet so huge! There is a lot of variety of territory to explore, providing a continual sense of expansiveness and fresh sites to see. There are great parts for biking and other parts where hiking boots are a necessity!"

Nicholas Down

"I am a Drew student and I grew up in South Jersey.  I've spent a lot of time on the southern shore points.  Cape May is really nice.  When I'm at Drew, I like to go to New York City on the weekends.  I also go to Cherry Hill.  They have a great mall and good restaurants."

Yeimy Duarte

"I don't really go very far on the weekends because I babysit a lot.  I like to stay around Madison.  Nicky's Firehouse and 54 Main Street are my favorite places to go on the weekends!"

Richard Bradshaw

"My wife and I go canoeing on the Passaic River year-round.  We also love bird watching in Cape May and exploring the Pine Barrens.  New Jersey has such a great diversity of activities and places to visit."

Jeanette Guerriero

"I love going to the Jersey Shore!  Seaside and Point Pleasant are my favorite spots.  But in the winter, I think when I'm older, I want to move to Florida!"
